Because you get your kids to bed at 8pm and can finally go grocery shopping and they're closed. On Saturday they close at 6pm--so much for getting a cheap Costco hot dog on date night or to get the supplies you need after working all day around the house on Saturday. When you go in the morning at 10am the parking lot is already packed. 9am would be great so you don't have to wait to get going with errands until 10am. I propose they are open 9am-9pm like most stores, Monday-Saturday.
