It would simplify the tax code tremendously and save a lot of time and expense of taxpayers and government employees in calculating and monitoring tax payment.

Taxing some people a higher percentage of their income than others is pure, unadulterated discrimination. It is just as unfair and vile as racial, religious or sexual discrimination- enforced by the threat of jail ( i.e government use of force). It is no less immoral than the mob's ability to obtain "protection money" by threatening to break your knees if you do not give it to them. If a laborer works three jobs and makes more money than some jack ass who chooses to stay at home and watch cable, and that laborer has to pay a HIGHER tax rate on each dollar he earns because he works harder, that is immoral and theft.

Think of all of the wasted resources and time people spend trying to find loopholes etc. Seems like a complex tax code is just a way for the federal govt. to dish out incentives and encourage certain behaviors.
