	It could be paid for by manufacturers. Say I scan a box of Coco Puffs, it could immediately let me know that a coupon is available for Chocolate flavored Cheerios, if I want to buy that instead.

	This really is such a cool idea. Not sure how cost effective it is, but this does make sense for the consumer, for sure. Maybe supermarkets could get Apps that you could download to your smartphones. Then you could scan your items as you are going through the store and get a total price right on your phone... that would be sweet.
