11 people want doctors offices to stop telling us to hang up and dial 911 in case of emergency.

How ignorant must they think their patients are? Stop wasting my time with some bogus advice. Do you actually think I'd stay on hold for 10 minutes, or wait 3 minutes for you to weed through all my "options" to find the department (that usually goes to the same person regardless of what 'department' I'm seeking) if I had an emergency?

Seriously, the ones that sounds stupid are the doctors who have that as the greeting on their voicemail.


My next doctor or dentist will not make me push a number for English, or tell me what 9-1-1 means.
