because pizza boxes are not recyclable and that's wasteful. Plus it costs billions of dollars to decontaminate recyclable materials and pizza boxes are a big contributor.

i want pizza boxes to be clear to see the contents w/o having to open. but, i think you might be wrong about pizza boxes. are you? i think it depends on the city/municipality and whether or not they have secured a recycling company to purchase particular items from them for recycling. I might be wrong about this.
