18 people want an app that monitors electricity and water use at home so we can budget their usage better.

Water and energy meters are hard to access. Would be great to track those meters on an app so that we can adjust our usage during the month if we are exceeding our budgets.

Google PowerMeter was a tool that helped analyze whole-house electricity usage, but they didn't really try to address the problem of collecting the data. You had to have a smart meter or install a compatible monitoring device yourself.

Now Google is discontinuing this software, but hopefully more alternatives will arrive soon.
