Want this too?
7 people want Kiva to stop making their lenders' wall-post messages inappropriately self-congratulatory.
When we lend at Kiva we want to tell our friends on Facebook about a loan we've made so that they'll lend to the person we've lent to, but Kiva pre-populates a message in our wall posts that cannot be changed that says, "Please congratulate [me] on the micro-credit loan I made to the poor ..." Ugh! The whole point of Kiva is to do good for its own sake, not for recognition or congratulation. We share our Kiva loans on our Facebook walls to get our friends to loan, too, not so that they'll "congratulate" us.
